Summary
Jason Brody is lost in the wilderness, and he may never find his way home. Vaas has let his friends go on the condition that Jason stays behind. Citra and Hoyt are both dead, the Rakyat are falling apart from the inside, and even now Jason cannot tell where he ends and the island begins. He thought that maybe he had found his way back from the brink, but the path is ever shifting.
Vaas is crazy like a fox, but he’s also just crazy. He and Snow White have been circling each other like tigers, ready to pounce, ready to kill. But every single time, they crawl away from each other with only scars to show. And Jason Brody is looking more and more like a wild animal that Vaas needs to bring to heel.

Summary
So lost in his thoughts and memories is he that he doesn’t hear the shuffling of footsteps outside the door until it's already opening. From his place on the bed, he scrambles to find his gun belt, pausing only when the cloying scent of a familiar Alpha begins to permeate his sensitive nostrils. He’s fighting through the growing fog in his brain as he squints at the man in the doorway, that familiar red shirt, pallid blond hair, shit-eating grin. Like the cat that caught the canary and can’t wait to sink its teeth into the soft flesh.
“Micah?” he asks, head swimming.

Summary
There are marks all over his body. It gets hard to remember where most of them are from- the trials are brutal, terrible things with teeth and claws all their own. Except the carefully placed thumbprints at the creases of his hips, the ragged mouth-shaped impressions on his thighs, his chest. He knows the origin of these, the mouth that gives him penance, gives him purpose. The hands that steal all his moments as well as his breath and keep them selfishly like a magpie in its nest.

Summary
When Gabriel slips in-between worlds, he doesn't mean to drag Alex with him. Then again, the lad is always scampering about like a lost puppy after his master, nipping at heels as only an untrained mongrel does. A dog, at least, doesn't talk back. If Gabriel could roll his eyes in a temporal shift, he'd do it. He can't rightly leave the Chosen One to drift aimlessly in the void, as personally pleasing as that may sound. Father does enjoy his favorites, after all, and Gabriel can't deny the magnetic pull of the words that flow across tan skin. They tug at him even now, as Alex holds fast to his wrist. And so, Gabriel fastens his own hand around the boy’s arm and pulls him tumbling through the void.
Gabriel decides to go on an adventure through time and space and Alex accidentally tags along for the ride.

People come and go and they leave marks on him, like the ones winding their way around biceps and bursting with hidden meaning except these ones, at least, he can see.
