So what if a Suit member isn’t morally redeemable, but isn’t harming the kingdom. Can they retain favor with one and not the other?”
“You’re wondering,” Wemmbu said slowly, “if morality and dedication are the only factors of this equation, and whether or not having both is even necessary.”

The first time Flame saw him, it was on the battlefield. They were both adorned in Zam Empire netherite, although his had a strange insignia carved into the midnight and gold chestplate Flame couldn’t make out in the rush of battle. He wielded a mace, a novelty for this server, and a faint purple hue rippled over it, clearly enchanted.
Deep violet collided with black cloth, and, against his will, Flame could feel himself grinning. This man was powerful, unlike anyone he had ever fought before. The other man tilted his head in response, eyes stony and tinged with curiosity. For a moment, the rest of the world was silent.
It was just them and an unspoken challenge.
