"Remember to live." Its not something you'd think to tell people, but after the house of cards gets toppled over for the hundredth time, hope crushed beneath the boots of addled Raiders and omnicidal Super Mutants, it becomes the most important message of all.
"Remember to live." Leah Fox was a solicitor for a little town council on the outskirts of Boston. After a rocky few years, her life was about to settle into the closest thing to bliss you could find in the year 2077. Loving husband. New baby. Funny how we think our foundations are so strong when we're actually building on top of sand.
"Remember to live." It was more than a saying - it was a mantra. It kept Leah going from the icy chill of the slowest time machine, all the way until she was marching on the gates of the Institute. She entered the Commonwealth like an iceberg, lives swirling into new patterns as she passed through. People didn't simply survive now - they *lived*.
But taking the Institute to task for their crimes is only the first step. What comes next is the hard part.
New chapters every Wednesday.

Summary
Their proximity brings back thoughts better left alone; they come to mind unbidden, and Nora would feel far more embarrassed with herself if not for the way Piper is looking at her, like she’s trying to take in every detail of Nora’s face, but her gaze keeps catching on her lips. It’s like something out of a particularly vivid dream, the kind that has her waking up with ruined underwear and the muzzy echo of pleasure, like something out of the fantasies that had her on edge not ten minutes ago.
Nora should step back, should pull away, should cast aside the tension crackling in the air like a radstorm, electric on her tongue, but she doesn’t, can’t. She nearly died trying to save her son and his ill-fated organisation and she’s tired - tired of running away from her feelings, pushing them down and down and down because there was always something more important.

Or, after the Institute falls, Nora seeks a moment alone. Piper, however, has other ideas.
