Will collapses into fiery madness after discovering a body in Hannibal's basement.
It was silent, the sound of his destruction.
In the end, Will perished the way most men do: with a sigh, notable only for how completely the gods declined the sunder the rest of the world with him.
Notable, too, for how Hannibal Lecter failed to hold him as he burned.
A short, extremely disjointed and chaotic one shot dedicated to Will's discovery and Hannibal's ultimate decision.

Summary
Will absently stroked at his hair, frowning. “Hannibal. What's wrong?"
But Hannibal shook his head, reaching to clutch at Will's waist, and fist a handful of the back of Will's shirt. Then they were pulling Will down, and he could only obey, bending and accepting the sudden kiss Hannibal pressed desperately to his mouth.
Will was used to losing time, but it hadn't happened to him for some years, so it came as a surprise when he realized he was abruptly stretched out on top of Hannibal with no memory of laying down, crammed onto the chaise as they were, as hands kneaded fitfully at his back and kisses continued to distract him.

Summary
Will woke slowly, his body lax and the mattress warm beneath his stomach. Something unknown gently pulled him from unconsciousness. He let out a breath, hugging his pillow closer under his chin, ready to open his eyes. But then his brain supplied him with the cause of his interrupted sleep.
A noise.
More specifically, the sound of a pencil dragging on rough paper.
Will jolted to full awareness, eyes blinking open in surprise.
“Don’t move.”
