Summary
As a conservator of rare oil paintings for The Met, Steve Rogers thinks of himself part scientist, part archaeologist, but hardly an artist in his own right. Only when he’s faced with the daunting task of restoring a frozen painting from a recently unearthed Nazi art hoard does he start to feel his passion for the craft return. Before he has a chance to understand what that means, Steve is transported to the 1940’s, where he meets both The Winter Soldier himself, and his own destiny.

Summary
Steve gets out of the hospital in two days, but just barely. “I’m fine,” he tells Sam, Nurse Eunjung and the phalanx of doctors assigned to make sure Captain America didn’t bleed out and die and get bad PR all over their nice clean hospital. “I have an advanced healing factor. It’s fine. See? I’m standing.”
“That is not standing,” Sam tells him.
“You’re bending the IV stand,” Nurse Eunjung adds pointedly. “Let go and sit down, they don’t grow on trees.”

Summary
Bucky looks peaceful in the cryo; not the dead peace of that blurry picture in his file, but like he’s enjoying the world’s longest and best-earned nap. His face is smooth, slack with sleep, and he looks so painfully young under shadows and stubble, under the tired lines etched onto his forehead.
Bucky’s never been a huge, hulking guy, with his surprisingly delicate build and narrow hips, and he’s been slowly losing the excess muscle mass in his time in the cryo. He looks slimmer, smaller; like he could fold into Steve’s arms like an origami bird.
