Summary
After learning that Thrawn has Kallus' bo-rifle and is trying to unlock its secrets, Kallus and Zeb race to stop him and get it back. Their quest takes them to a jungle planet in search of an ancient civilization and the link to the ancient Lasat and their secret planet of origin, Lira-san. But Thrawn is there, too, complicating matters.

Summary

Summary
Just a little place to collect all of my Star wars works. A few of them are quite old and are also a part of the series "Aetherschreiber's Fics from Back In The Day." Back then I was more interested in the prequel trilogy era and just before (IE Obi-Wan being an apprentice and new Knight/Master). These days I tend to geek out over Rebels. Most of these stand on their own, but the Rebels ones in particular reference each other in a few places.
And yes, I know the Jedi Apprentice books are now Legends. But until something comes along in the new cannon to negate them, they're still part of my head-canon.

Summary
Have you ever gone back and re-read your old fics? If you're anything like most of the fic authors I know, the answer is probably yes. We write what we like to read and sometimes the best way to get that is to write it yourself. Well, by the time you've been writing fanfiction for more than twenty years, some of the stuff from your early days is... not really up to your standards these days.
I've just been going back into some of my really old stuff. Most of these date back to the late 90s and early 00s. I was a little resistant to putting them up again, and indeed there's some that I've decided will not show up anywhere any more. But looking back, I've decided that it's of use to post them here, as a series of their own. There's stuff that doesn't completely suck and there's a few landmarks in my development as a fic-writer over the years.
So, here they are, my early stuff, with notes at the beginning as to why I have included them and what I think of them now.

Summary
When it spoke again, it did so slowly. Disdainfully.
“We do not need your help.”
The fire was building. It was stretching thin. It was churning and ripping and expanding beyond Keith’s reach. Keith screamed more--Stop! Stop! Please!-- but he’d stopped hearing himself.
The creatures had never intended to let them leave. They may have wanted him to talk, but nothing he could ever say was going to change what would happen.
Keith was no longer coherent. All he could manage was the same plea, over and over.
They were going to kill them.
The fire had crescendoed to spread beyond the infrastructure of the base. It was reaching out to the forest around them, and up into the air above.
They were going to kill them. Starting with Lance.

An uninhabited planet is not, in fact, uninhabited, and Pidge, Lance, and Keith are captured. Separated, they are forced to face the problem alone. But it's soon clear that their situation is much worse than any of them anticipated.

Summary
All it takes is a single mistake on a mission gone wrong for Lance to be flung from the rest of the Paladins and into the far reaches of space. Alone, injured, and without a way to contact the rest of his team, Lance reflects on his life - everything that led up to being stranded in an enormous blue lion.
But Lance and his thoughts have never gotten along well.
