Well, Johnny can't exactly say no to that, can he? He just asked for his second chance. His way to make things right between him and V. Telling him no now would likely do that all in. But it didn't help when the merc looked up at Johnny from his seat on the metal roofing. Big blue eyes looked... scared. Desperate. V was a man constantly fighting death's cold hands and had narrowly avoided those clutches once. Johnny knew that he wouldn't be able to do it again. "How do you know where to start?" And V had the audacity to perk up, those blue eyes coming alive. Like a light bulb getting flicked back on. His shoulders and back straightened, looking excited. And he smiled sheepishly and scratched the back of that dark hair as he looked away. Johnny knew that this wasn't going to work. It couldn't. But if it gave V something to be in control of, or even just something to hope for, the rocker wasn't going to take it away from him.
He'd already taken enough.

There's one last hope for V. A city in the middle of the desert, a Corp-Free Paradise With Some Ancient Nano-Bot Tech. If he can even get there in time.

Well-spoken and polite. Frighteningly unlike every other inmates you've seen in this first video. You continued watching carefully, realizing that the man with DID before was mentioning this new man when he said 'The Groom'. You stretched your shoulders as you watched Park's unfortunate capture commence, the shiver that tried to go down your spine remained directly at the base of your neck instead. The locker, the gas, it was obvious that The Groom was used to this by now, the capture and the torture. The camera roll goes black, the last image you saw was the man's face smiling into the locker Waylon was trapped in. Then the camera was placed to the side, away from the locker and facing away from what was happening with this psychopath and some other nameless, faceless victims. You closed your eyes but the screaming and gushing of blood and body parts were still deafening in your ears.

Eddie can’t seem to look away, can’t bring his ethereal gaze back up where it belongs. Steve thinks he should run, he should flee. A tiny part of him knows Eddie will chase him. Eddie will catch him, outrun him easily.
