Lena was a child when Lex and Superman had their short-lived friendship so what if she had gotten to meet him? Connected to him learned from him had more of a connection to him and how that would have effected things later?
When Lex turned the sun red Lena had just graduated from university at nineteen. The world was at her feet and yet all she could think about was yet another disappointment from her family how just like with high school neither Lillian and Lex had attended her graduation yet Superman had. So when on the streets of Metropolis the sky turns red she knows he's in trouble. She knows it's Lex. She seeks to protect the Man of Steel as she knows he'll suddenly be without his powers. And though she doesn't at first succeed she would try try again...

She didn't just up LuthorCorp in a day. Lex had to be arrested. Charged. Investigated. The board convened. Lena placed in charge as CEO then her power solidified to force a move. New location purchased renovated/built staff moved/hired. Just that last alone would take a year. She had to have chosen National City... before Supergirl donned the cape. Yet what if Lena chose it to be near Kara anyway?

The anomaly sent Jayce to the future, of sorts. It sent Heimerdinger back a few years and across to a different reality. And it sent Ekko to the same one as Heimerdinger, but in the time that was the counterpart of when he'd left, the Powder of that reality the same age as the Jinx he'd seen not long before.
One, with his own body because that body was atop the ruined Hexgates, converted into the machine intelligence. The other two, essentially overriding their local selves.
So it happening to Jinx, sent into her past, and her local self existed? Yep. So you'd think she'd take over from her younger self... nope. Okay, inaddition to? sort of.

And who says they only experimented with Kal's DNA mixing with Lex's with who knows how many failures for one success?
Or... Cadmus didn't just make Connor, they'd tried making more 'living weapons' mixing Kara's DNA with others, but the experiments predate her suit-donning thanks to the real Hank Henshaw being a Diq that of course would abuse power and trust and break a non-interference deal after making one with Jeremiah.Series

So (really well written) soulmates stories are something of a guilty pleasure... yet I hate the ridiculousness of it, and all of the implications.
But take the idea, words on your skin/whatever, but what if "soulmates" isn't what it's about (also not future-predicting bull$#!t)... but more like, well, some of the fictional worlds I partake fanfiction of do tend to have higher-level beings that may possibly just kind of have the ability to screw with the universe this way. You know, for funsies.

Someone who knows way too much about her, yet seemingly way too little.
Or; Centipede took her when she was in the foster system, trained her a bit then sent her out to be, something, in the world but oops their own eyebomb-controlled primary handler for her was suddenly punted out of the way by someone who knows the movies and tv show, someone who's an expy for us all. and is confused that Skye seems to have been born sometime 96 to 97 instead of actually 88/assumed 89... time shenanigans. there was time shenanigans involved.

The Long of it:
They left the Ever After. Then everything ended. In between Team RWBY had their adventure on Earth. In a last-ditch hail-mary, Jaune ends up back in time, in his even-younger body, and no idea if team RWBY made it. Then one day Jessica walks into Ansel with a story of her own to tell.They left the simulation. Then everything ended. in between, the Justice League had fought Grim on Earth with the help of Team RWBY. But, with all their own ways and means to undo things gone, the few survivors seek out greener pastures thanks to Jessica's GL-powered Portal through dimensions. Except there was an issue trying to 'aim' it... and Jessica has no idea if anyone made it. But she was spat out near a place called Ansel... and then meets a big family there, called the Arcs...
