Finding your soulmate is supposed to be beautiful. You stand in front of someone and you say their full name; they say yours. Your soulmarks appear somewhere on your bodies, and it's supposed to be beautiful. Life-changing.
It's not supposed to happen a week before the World Juniors tournament in a dirty Saskatchewan parking lot. It's not supposed to be Canada's newest darling hockey player and your future rival who whispers your name. It's not supposed to be a boy that your skin blooms for.
And if that does happen, despite the fact that it shouldn't, you're definitely not supposed to lie to your soulmate's face, refuse to say his name in return, and pretend that you never felt your soulmark appear at all. And if that happens, somehow, you're definitely not supposed to kiss him less than a year later. And then later. And then later. And then later, until you realize you never want to leave his bed despite the fact that you've never told him the truth about the bear tattoo on your chest.

Steve wishes Bucky wouldn’t look at him the way he does – a deliberate gaze, subtly digging his top teeth into that pouty bottom lip; following his every move like a lion watches a gazelle. It’s been going on for months, perhaps longer... Steve talks, and Bucky listens. Well, that’s the point – Bucky’s supposed to be listening. Steve’s just doing his job, after all… No harm in that.
The problem is that it’s no innocent gesture, the way Bucky will have the top of his pen tracing the outline of his mouth... It’s also not innocent at all when Steve turns to look out at the sea of heads while he’s speaking and catches the quickest glimpse of the brunet sneaking a peek at his ass. And Bucky doesn’t even pretend to be bashful about it. He just meets Steve’s eyes and smirks – just the tiniest hint of a thing.
Even bigger a problem than all that is how absolutely wrong it is. There are a million and one reasons why Bucky’s behavior is inappropriate, and why the way it makes Steve feel is even more inappropriate.
For starters, Steve is Bucky’s teacher.
Secondly, he’s only seventeen.

Michael clenches his jaw, his fingers curling a little tighter into his calloused palm, and uses his powers to pry the lid off the coffin. It rises in a groan of wood and scatter of dirt, and he lifts the lantern a little, angling its bluish light down into the grave.Lying there, in his perfectly pressed dress blues, is what remains of Alex Manes.
The mortician did his job well; Alex looks whole and at peace. His skin is almost devoid of the pallor of death, his thick hair dark and glossy and artfully styled. He almost looks like he has dozens of times before, when he was sleeping in Michael’s tiny bed with his eyes closed and face relaxed, the curve of his long eyelashes lying against his smooth cheek.

After Tony risks his own life to save Steve from the deadly Bloodwash gas, he's in bad shape, and he needs immediate treatment. Thanks to the treatment, he doesn't quite remember what's going on, but he does remember that people have been trying to kill him and that he can't trust the government. Since the Secretary of Defense did try to murder both of them today, Steve can't exactly tell Tony he's wrong about either of those things -- but, unfortunately, Tony doesn't remember who Steve is. And, even more unfortunately, Steve taught Tony to fight.

Because Neil always knows. He is as fluent in Andrew’s micro-expressions as he is in German and French. He knows which head tilts mean “go on” and which ones mean “shut up.” Without ever asking, he learned what it meant to see Andrew wearing double layers of long sleeves, or taking multiple showers in a day, and learned to hand Andrew the car keys.
That has always been the most terrifying thing about Neil — his patience to wait, watch, listen, learn. The prospect that if Neil were given enough time, there would be no part of Andrew that was just Andrew’s anymore.
“He has to know,” Andrew says.
“Does he?” Renee says. “Have you ever known Neil to assume that he is wanted?”
Five times Neil tells someone that he and Andrew aren’t dating, and one time Andrew uses his words to set the record straight.
