“Would you ever do that?” She asked in faux-nonchalance.
Emma chuckled. “Sorry, babe. There’s no way in hell I’m letting you tie me up like that.”
Regina bit her lip. “Would you do the tying?”

Summary
Twenty seven year old Emma Swan is running away.
At least for three days. Having won a ticket to a train ride from Toronto to Vancouver, Emma wasts no time in packing her bag and skipping down as fast as possible. Having recently being dumped by her girlfriend Lily, Emma sees no reason to stay in Toronto. Vancouver seems like a great place to start over, and the farther away she gets from her dominating, controlling adoptive mother, Mary Margaret.
The only thing Emma wants during this three day long train ride is to kick back, relax and think of absolutely nothing. Maybe even fall asleep for a while.
Which she does. Until a tap on the shoulder wakes her up.

Summary
“The name is just for show. It’s supposed to bring out some of your deeper desires. Spurs you to act on them,” Regina explains, even though Emma stopped paying attention several words ago.
Their eyes lock, and Emma feels that same prickling sensation on the back of her neck.
“Is there… anything you want to do?” Regina asks finally.
It’s like a flick of a switch.

Summary
After a week with her mother, all Regina wants is a quiet plane ride home. She certainly hadn't planned on her son recognizing the woman across the aisle as one of his favorite athletes of all time.
Emma Swan has long believed that being on two professional soccer teams is all the family that she will ever need. With a number of championships already under her belt and years remaining in her busy, fulfilling career, she hasn't felt anything missing from her life since she left her last foster home over a decade ago. She never imagined that sitting next to a young fan and his fascinating mother could drastically alter her ideas of what a family can be.
But surely a day of traveling together isn't enough time to begin to fall in love?

Summary
“I, uh, realized that you’re simply a hallucination that I see in high stress situations as a coping mechanism.”
“Am I now?” Regina’s smirking at her and there’s enough mischief in those brown eyes to make Emma press her thighs together. She cannot seriously be turned on by her own hallucination. That’s another level of insanity and proves she really does need to get laid.
God, Freud would have a field day with her.
“Anyway, I’ve decided to just let you do whatever it is you do and not fight it. Coping mechanisms are supposed to be good, right?” Emma shrugs.
“Coping mechanisms are good. Extreme anxiety that results in apparent psychosis and hallucinations? Not so much, dear.” Regina snickers. “But worry not. I’m not a hallucination.”
Or that one where Emma starts seeing a woman no one else can see while trying to avoid the mafia lackeys of a loan shark.

You take a step forward, but with your eyes glued to Emma as she unknowingly glides closer to where you stand, you step on a small branch. It cracks loudly beneath your foot, and Emma’s gaze snaps up to you at the sound.
“Emma!” You can feel your own relief in the taste of her name on your tongue. But the second you say her name the world bursts into color. You stumble backwards into a nearby tree, suddenly breathless.
