"We forgot!" Ren chimed, entirely ignoring the aggravation in Akechi's face and voice, as he had come so very good at doing over the years.
"Forgot what…" Akechi groaned, pulling his pillow over his face.
Ren yanked the pillow off and Akechi's eyes opened and he shot a death glare at his husband, who just grinned in response. "The mistletoe!"

He turned to look at Akechi. "If you were to get a pet, what would you want?"
There was a pause as Akechi gave it thought. Pets were a big responsibility, but some were easier than others. Iguanas, fish, birds, all easy pets, low maintenance, but they weren't very social. You could socialize with them but they couldn't give you the same comfort and dopamine as other pets, like cats and dogs could give you. Gently tapping his finger against his leg in thought, the brunette had no idea how to answer that question.
"No iguana, huh?" Ren teased, trying to break up the silence.

The shadow’s laughter echoes, shrill and broken. “I am humanity’s shade,” she says, “Your hopes, your dreams. I am the stories you tell at night.”
“You’re testing my fucking patience,” Goro says, gritting his teeth.
She turns to look at him, tilting her head with slow, cat-like grace. Goro widens his stance and grips the hilt of his sword. He refuses to look away. She glances up and down his form, yellow eyes narrow, searching. Then, she stops; she smiles. “You can wake him up with love,” she says. “True love.”

Summary
His knees hurt from sitting on the tile; his head hurts from the nonstop pounding; his entire body is sweating profusely while also feeling as though it’s about to freeze to death. He sheds his dress shirt and tie before stumbling through the doorway to the bed and collapsing, curling up into a ball. The uncomfortable feeling of his sheets touching skin is reviling, but overpowered by the sheer fatigue dragging his soul down.
Akechi falls asleep to the sound of his own heavy breathing. The messy, quiet apartment might as well be housing a corpse instead of a human being.
Or, Ren nursing Akechi back to health.

Summary
After a falling out with his parents regarding his future, Ren Amamiya enrolls in a culinary arts academy in the United States.
There, miles across the sea, he has a chance encounter with Goro Akechi, who’d left him with a single glove and the memory of a bitterly cold winter evening.
…He also learns that Akechi really can’t cook to save his life, nor can he afford takeout at the moment.
Ren, eager to prove himself beyond curry and coffee, needs a harsh critic in order to hone his culinary skills. Someone who won’t just nod politely and choke down whatever’s on the plate.
So, they strike up another deal.
Ren will prepare a new dish each time they meet. Akechi will taste it, and give his verdict.
If Ren can get Akechi to rank any meal an honest ten out of ten, then that means he’s succeeded.It’s a simple deal. And nothing could possibly complicate things.

Goro doesn’t even get a chance to complain before Kurusu is sliding an arm around his back and beneath his knees. He’s immediately greeted by a wave of pain that outclasses all the others before, a kind of pain that makes him feel as if his entire body is breaking in two. Makes him think: fuck, maybe it actually is.
He grits his teeth. “Joker, stop.”
Kurusu instantly freezes, meeting his eyes with clear alarm.
“What’s wrong?”
“I think my hip might be broken.”
