Summary
"Why did I come looking for the people who helped bring down Irontomb in the midst of such a crisis?" He pauses long enough to let Dan Heng retort. He doesn't. "That and the fact that Stelle couldn't go five minutes without insisting we find you and the other passengers of the Express. I suspect she is very anxious about your absence. And as for why I came to find you, well."
His mouth curls around a smile, a very small one. His words are proud, taunting, quietly pained, but he offers them like a respite, not a threat. "I suppose it's just something I've got a talent for."
It irks Dan Heng that someone had come to find him, to rescue him. Worse that it had to be Blade, worse still that even the way in which Blade used to haunt him is now something he's meant to be grateful for. He has half a mind to wrap the hand at Blade's collar all the way around his throat, but the roar of adrenaline has lessened enough for him to be able to see how that would not help at all.
Or: Blade comes back from the dead. Dan Heng has several feelings on the matter.

Summary
Dan Heng’s hips ached more often than not, these days.
It was one of many normal pregnancy symptoms — or, at least, it was a normal pregnancy symptom for the species throughout the world that experienced gestation. Since Dan Heng was the first Vidyadhara since the rise of Long the Permanence to undergo pregnancy, it was difficult to say whether the symptoms he had to endure were normal for his species or not.
--
Dan Heng deals with pregnancy symptoms, talks to the child he never meant to leave behind, and cries it out (more pregnancy symptoms).

Summary
Sighing, Dan Heng looked up and made eye contact with the menaces themselves, standing a few feet away by a wall and waving at him with matching shit-eating grins on their faces. Though a part of him was happy to see them so happy, the other, more rational side to him thought to himself that he really needed to learn how to refuse them.
After all, Dan Heng’s inability to say no to his friends led him to where he was now: standing in line amidst a gaggle of excited fans, all waiting for a chance to interact with one of the official cosplayers hired by Astral Hunters Games.
--
March and Stelle sign Dan Heng up to interact with an official cosplayer for his favorite character, Yingxing.

Summary
Normally, Blade wouldn’t have picked up the call, but he was feeling a bit extra self-destructive after his breakup three weeks ago, so picking up potential solicitation calls was not the worst thing he could be doing.
“Perfect,” the customer service representative on the other side of the call said, his chipper voice not faltering in the least. “I just wanted to let you know that a tow truck will be on its way within the next thirty minutes, so please make sure to stay by your vehicle in the meantime.”
What.
--
While recovering from a breakup and studying for midterms, Blade has to deal with Silver Wolf totaling his car and the possibility that his ex-boyfriend has already moved on.

Summary
Surviving a murder attempt was bound to leave him screwed up, the only person lucky enough to live after brushing up against the blood hungry killer who haunts the streets.
It just so happens that most people have it wrong, though. Dan Heng would know. After all, he's the only person who's intimate with his shadow. In more ways than one.

Summary
Dan Heng isn't one to advertise what he likes, nor was he an open book for everyone to read—closeness and that hint of adoration was so important to him and the fibers making up his mind. Not the type to casually say “I love this” unless it slips out or someone is paying very close attention—tangled into each of his actions. And Blade - ever cautious and watchful, had noticed this silly favoritism his partner has, which consist of tiramisu cake

Summary
Above him, Blade somehow looked crazier with the blinding lights in the hallway glaring down at them, highlighting his eyes more. Like a sea of flames that desired to burn everything it looked at.
Something hot and wet touched Dan Heng's lips, and it took a moment for him to realize it was Blade's lips that had captured his own.
Both of them were covered in blood, none of their wounds healed and still actively bleeding out on the floor. A pool of red had formed underneath them, its iron scent sickening.

Summary
Dan Heng doubled over in another fit. His small body shook, ribcage rattling with each weakening, yet all-consuming gasp for air. When he came up again, he was trembling violently.
“It’s fine,” Dan Heng tried to say, reading him all too well. “I’m fine. Um, obstinate.”
Ren cocked his head. “You’ve gone insane from the cold.”
Dan Heng’s brow furrowed. Unamused. “I was going to say you’re being obstinate. You’re not- considering the smartest thing right now. The best thing for both of us.”
“We’re not having this conversation.” If he flipped Dan Heng over like a turtle, would he be able to get back up? Would that keep him quiet?

Summary
Blade's skin is already stitching itself up, closing around his fingers. It's an, objectively, horrific process up close. Skin growing layer by layer, stretching unnaturally around where Dan Heng's bloodied fingers are still frozen. If he focuses, he can feel—nerves wrapping around his fingers. Fat and muscle adapting to his presence. Blade's body reshaping itself around him, pulling him closer.
It's disturbing. It's disgusting.
It's terrifyingly intimate.
