Zoey was suddenly inches away from Mira’s face, straddling her lap, a dramatic pout on her lips, arms folded…when she lost her balance and sank down a little.
Her mouth dropped open.
“Mira..are you…a-are you-”
Mira pressed her hips up in a slow grind.
“Am I what?”
Zoey’s arms unfolded quickly and grabbed the back of the couch either side of Mira’s head.
“Are you packing?” she whispered, cheeks flushing a soft pink, her breath coming a little faster than before and Mira had to resist the urge to kiss her senseless.

Years of self-loathing don’t vanish overnight, but she’s trying. She has to keep trying, for Mira and Zoey at least. They’ll be devastated if they find out she’s having thoughts like this.
