Growing up, Karasu had always felt most comfortable alone. He wasn’t an outsider or anything, heck he wasn’t even the quiet type, but relationships seemed like such a flimsy connection once he managed to peel back all the layers. Undressing people with his eyes became his talent - metaphorically for the most part. It became his extraordinary-ness that bloomed from such an ordinary person like him. Once he reached middle school, he gathered a few acquaintances, mainly through football, although he had a loose group of school friends too. Despite this, he hadn’t found anyone too worth his while yet.

Summary
It darts away, and then comes back again, twisting and slamming into the side of the ship. Again, it tilts and moves. Meguru clings onto the railing. It’s a tail. Something is striking the boat hard enough to make it sway. A large tail. This fifty-tone boat. Moving.
A mer. Attacking their ship.
Something else moves below the water, catching Meguru’s eye. He tries to track it, a black smear shooting through the waves towards the boat. He braces for another impact but this time it doesn’t come. The figure stops short of the boat – a little slenderer than the larger one that keeps slamming into the side. And then the mer calls something. Eerie and trilling and angry.
TLDR; itoshi rin and his crew of privateers (pirates) stumble across a mer being held captive aboard a naval ship. luckily for isagi, they're not the type to just walk away from someone in need.

Summary
An emergency draft has called Sae and Isagi away to civil war in the south, leaving Rin isolated and alone in a cliffside cottage, abandoned by the only people he ever trusted. His paintings contain no life and resentment simmers under his skin at the very thought of his brother leaving him behind. Not even the local social butterfly of a fisherman, Nanase, can coax him down to the port town of Locketon. Life seems as though it'll be disgusting and tepid forever.
But then, one day, a merman with eyes the colour of ice and scales that gleam like diamonds appears in the hidden cove under the cliffs...
Aka: Hiori is a merman. Rin is an artist. Both of them are lost, and they'll help each other find their ways again.

”C’mon, what could go wrong?” Bachira’s voice echoed in his mind, from his tone one would think he was more excited than Isagi.
“Number one: we’re still not sure if you're now free from connections or not. Number two: people could think I have something wrong with me if I talk to you and you’re, well, not visible.”
”Then I can just like… appear when we talk—”
“You were not recruited for Blue Lock, having a semi-transparent, unable-to-touch-things dude will not end well for any of us.”
”C’mon—”
“Shush,” he whispered as he saw Kira approaching, “we’ll discuss this later.”
Bachisa didn't seem happy about it, the wind blew on Isagi’s face, and he made a deadpan expression, looking at nothing at all.
At least Bachira dropped the topic though.

He closed his eyes, letting the memory wash over him.
"He had brown curly hair," he began. "But it faded into pink or purple at the ends—magenta, I think. His eyes were the same color. Huge eyes, with really long lashes. He had round cheeks, but a sharp jaw. And his lips..." Yukimiya's voice softened. "They were heart-shaped. Pink. Really... kissable."
Chigiri and Aryu exchanged another look. This one was different. Worried.
"What?" Yukimiya asked, sitting up straighter. "What is it?"
"Nothing," Chigiri said quickly. "Keep going. Did he tell you his name?"
The rain filled the void, a steady drumming on the roof. Chigiri's face had gone pale. Aryu's mouth was slightly open, frozen mid-though.Then, in unison, they both screamed.

Well, this was one hell of a way to challenge himself. A million thoughts raced through his head just then, yet only one prevailed among the sea of roaring expletives.
