You-know-who hadn't cared to look into what second gender Snape was; writing him off as a Beta when he scented no pheromones off of him.
When four unexpected men show up in Snape's yard, his first instinct is to turn them away. But, one of them is drenched in blood, and the other has the most convincing puppy-dog eyes. He just has to help, even if it isn't for entirely selfless reasons.
Severus Snape had been lonely. Yet with only a certain amount of space to share, it is easy for those stubborn men to weasel their noses into places they didn't belong. Especially when Severus had cut all ties to society off and began living off the land; it was the only way to ensure his safely kept secrets stayed just that—secret.

Remus swallows his pride, wills his face not to be beet red, and steps in: “I don’t want an omega – they all smell awful to me. That’s why we need a beta. And you are the only beta that knows about my other… condition.”
Snape smirks, clearly enjoying this conversation (or Remus’ embarrassment). “Ah, I see; you are a beast in bed, too.”

Summary
Severus Snape gave up the child he had with Voldemort in order to keep himself and that child safe. They were swiftly reunited following the deaths of the Potters and Severus raised him whilst also working as the Potions Professor at Hogwarts.
It's now Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts. Voldemort has returned and has been attempting to reconcile things all through the summer but neither Harry nor Severus has budged. The school year is shaping up to be normal although the new DADA professor is unknown. When it's revealed to everyone that it's none other than Tom Marvolo Riddle teaching Defence this year, Harry rightfully storms out of the Great Hall. With the Dark Lord desperate to reconcile with the family, Severus has to deal with his attempts at romance whilst dealing with teenage wizard drama.

Severus swallowed, a faint blush coloring his cheeks. "Yes, sir," he whispered, his voice shaking slightly. Tom's lips curved into a smirk as he smelled the omega's arousal, subtle but unmistakable. "Good," Riddle purred, his hand trailing down Severus's arm. "I will leave you to settle in for now. I will expect you in my office at sunset. Do not keep me waiting." The alpha turned and left the room, leaving Severus alone with his thoughts.
