Will's fingers had gone white around the notepad that he clutched in his hand. He didn’t believe he could say a word without falling down. His head spun, he felt nauseous. He just wanted to get as far away as he could. Away from this man.
“He said that he had a nightmare.” Will began his voice choked, though his face remained stoic. “He saw that there was a monster underneath his bed. He couldn’t move, he couldn’t shout. He wanted to wake Nathaniel up but everything was too dark. He said that he had started to sob and it was then that the monster came out and hugged him. He wasn’t scared anymore.”
A balmy light sparkled in his blue eyes, the red puffiness around it only enhancing the colour. “And what did the monster say?”
Will’s voice, when it came, sounded as if he was hearing himself speak from the top of a mountain while he was at the bottom of the rift.
“It’s the good boys that get eaten by the monster.”

Some criminals, though, are dangerous enough to outrun her for a time - those criminals, when caught, are put to use instead of put down. After all, what better way to hunt down monsters than with the better monsters?
Enter Q. He's not dangerous - at least to the common eye - and he's perfect for the job of Quartermaster for all of these 'better monsters.' But he's got an agenda, and he's not the only one...

A force vision sends Obi-Wan racing back to Coruscant after finally defeating General Grievous on Utapau, just in time to intercept Anakin as he marches on the jedi temple, and changes their future forever. The living force was stronger than them all, and it was not done with the Chosen One and his Self-Sacrificing Jedi Master.
AU from Anakin’s acceptance of Palpatine’s offer after Mace Windu's death and the execution of Order 66.
Here lies: angst, suffering, feelings, character growth, action, and adventure with a dash of romance. Padme/Anakin is mostly in the past, as this keeps her death canon. Anakin/Obi-Wan is later and slow burn.

Darth Vader, the strong arm of the Sith, held loyal to his Order since they took he and his mother from slavery in the deserts of Tatooine. Until he became convinced they killed his wife. He abandoned his Order and disappeared in the chaos of the Clone Wars, presumed dead by all sides.
That young Skywalker is known around town as a widower and homesteader; a Nabooian who emigrated to avoid the trade blockade; a father of overly-energetic twins and warding a Togruta war orphan; a decent mechanic if your farm equipment or maintenance droid is acting up.
Anakin is a paranoid, over-protective hot mess doing his best to raise his weird pack the way Padmé would have wanted. How the hell is he supposed to do that when his kids and not-apprentice make him haul a half-dead Jedi Master home like a lost pet?
