Summary
This is not how things was supposed to go. Sakura and Naruto had been running themselves ragged to line up the perfect promotional cycle for Naruto’s solo debut, and establishing himself as the ‘visual of visuals’ was a crucial part of the plan. For this complete streaming rando to overtake that title on this ranking list was beyond comprehension.
Or, up and coming idol Uzumaki Naruto is peeved that some masked internet streamer has taken his rightful spot as the most handsome man on the internet. He plots to one-up the guy by joining his livestream. He ends up in a very, very different situation.

Summary
They had won.
After ruthlessly and restlessly fighting for god knows how long, they had finally won the war. A shrill wind full of ashes and smoke blew in their faces. Everything around them was razed to the ground.
The land that was once full of luscious green scenery was so barren now.
Only 4 people were standing on this barren land. Everyone else having met their ends already mixed with the ashen grounds.

He’d hoped he would be done with this sort of thing after he’d agreed to make peace with the damned Uchiha clan. He’d swallowed so much hate and pride to agree to that, which, in fairness, many of the Senju did as well.

Warm tears falling from his cheeks to shikamaru’s. His sickly thin hands sliding down his face, his chakra fading.
Naruto was kneeling in front of the cold body of his friend. His brother. His… lover?

And he did, in order.
But since the last sentence was never finished. He never got there. He was never okay.
What wouldn’t he give to go back to staring at the clouds? To drown in those bored eyes? He wanted more than never before to sink in those comforting shadows. Just once again.

“Yeah, you look even older than sensei,” mini-Rin chimes in from behind mini-Kakashi, crouching next to mini-Obito.
He’s a little offended. If Minato is considered old at twenty-three, then Kakashi is practically a fossil. Apparently, none of these kids understand the concept of living past like, fifteen.

Hatake Kakashi had honestly (and perhaps naively) thought he’d already hit his midlife crisis by the time he’s thirty-two. Being pushed into the Hokage hat after a war tended to do that to one.
But finding himself almost twenty years in the past (parallel universe/elaborate genjutsu/weird drug induced coma?) probably takes the cake for the most insane twist of fate.
OR: Kakashi wakes up twenty years in the past, with the chance to save all his loved ones from their deaths, and himself from tragedy.

Summary
Knuckleheaded and unpredictable: two words everyone always used to describe Uzumaki Naruto. Traveling back in time to save the world from his hellscape of a future proved those words fitting.
Naruto lost everyone he’d ever loved and didn’t think he could feel anything beyond the desire to complete his mission. He didn’t expect this new (old) Konoha, with new friends wearing familiar faces from his decimated past. He didn’t expect to care so deeply about random jounin he’d barely known before. And, perhaps a tad ironically, he really didn’t expect Kakashi.

If you must fix something, you must start at the root of the problem. Except they already tried that and the Root was not very receptive to the idea. So... start before the problem even existed??
Except Team Ro didn't plan to come back to the past. They didn't have any concrete idea of what to fix. Most of them don't even think they have the jurisdiction to make such changes.
