Once upon a summer break, Seokjin met Jeon Jungkook. He was introduced to Seokjin by his mother, who recently moved to the neighbourhood and as luck has it, occupied the house just across the street. He was a lanky high schooler back then, with big, doe eyes that always looked so detached from the rest of the world. Seokjin had offered him a genial smile, like how his parents taught him to, while introducing himself.
When their eyes met, something snapped inside Seokjin’s head and he knew it that instant, though he never spoke of it. It was through Jungkook’s quietly blossoming smirk and his own fading smile, that he knew.
Jungkook was the devil that everyone had told him to stay away from; and at the same time, the stained black pair of wings he had been waiting for.

Seokjin’s world had shattered and ended the moment he saw drops of red trickled from Taehyung's nose to stain his shirt. Seokjin's hand wandered to Taehyung’s chin, tender and delicate, longing to see the way the brown eyes he loved move to meet his own under those long lashes. Alas, He was met with a pair of pale blue eyes instead.
A sorrow that Taehyung had never seen was casted in his lover's eyes and he hated himself for being the very cause of it. Seokjin pointlessly wiped away the stream of blood under the younger’s nose, only for them to be replaced by a new one. His lover stared at him through eyes as cold as the winter. Unchanging, unrelenting. The smiley on his cheeks looked happy nonetheless, oblivious to their dismay.

Summary
The annoying ticking sound of the clock in his room kept Seokjin’s eyes wide open. He felt like smashing the clock to obtain the serenity he needed. He didn’t. He was too exhausted to even lift a finger.
“Hyung!” came Taehyung voice, desperate as it seemed, his moves were frantic and his breath ragged as he let himself in to the room and rocked Seokjin rather roughly. “Wake up!”
“What is it?” Seokjin groaned, slightly annoyed.
“Jungkook’s missing!”
“...What?” That caught Seokjin’s attention, he sat up, frowning. Taehyung didn''t miss the fear in his eyes.
“We can’t reach his phone. Do you know anything about where he might go? Did he say anything?”
“No-” Seokjin’s words caught in his throat. He promptly searched for his phone. He had left it in silent mode, not wanting anything to disturb him while he was clearing his mind.
When he found it, he was faced with dozens of missed calls and voice messages left on his voicemail. The contact number read ‘Jungkook.’
