Summary
Corin's self-preservation instincts must have left him on the last planet they were on because his frustration finally gets the better of him as his eyes feel like they’re burning. Everything has just been far too much that day and he finds himself losing control.
"Trust? You're talking to me about trust?!" His voice cracks on the last word. He'd probably be embarrassed if his heart wasn't hammering in his chest. "I do trust you, Mando. I do. But do you even trust me? At all? You rarely tell me what kind of job we’ve got going on, hell if I know if you’re raising some kind of riot, you don’t keep me updated. I don't even know your name for kriff's sake, let alone seen your face!"
His face burns red and his breathing falls heavy. He suddenly feels sick. He just-- he said-- he closes his eyes, fists clenched tight.
-Corin helps Din out of a dicey situation and ends up a little worse for wear for his efforts. Din is not happy about this, but neither is Corin. Trust is questioned, Din makes a choice, and Corin is left wondering where their relationship stands now.

Summary
“It just feels like… like I don’t know. Something isn’t right around here.” Corin looks around again, as if that would help him decide his issue with the area once and for all.
Din turns his full attention towards him. “Do you think we’re being followed?”
“I—” Corin considers the statement, “No, I don’t think—I haven’t really heard—” He pauses, and then it hits him. “Do you hear that?”
It’s silent for a moment, eerily silent. Even the child stops eating to coo worryingly at his buire.
“I don’t hear anything,” Din says.
“Exactly.”
Din, Corin, and the child find themselves on a backwater planet in need of credits for repairs. While there, they find a job investigating the disappearance of a woman's missing husband.
Once they arrive in the last know location of their missing person, however; they find themselves noticing many strange things about the town. And while they'd rather find what they came for and leave, they can't help but be curious about the strange happenings in this mysterious place.

That’s not Corin.
It looks like Corin. It sounds like Corin. It even feels like Corin.
But its hair is parted on the wrong side. Its smile shows too many teeth. Its clothes are spotless without even a speck of dirt on his sleeves or sap on his shoes. The glare on his armor is too bright, like painted plastic.
And its eyes. Eyes which should be blue. Blue as a clear day on Naboo. Blue as the glacier fed lakes high in the mountains of Sorgan. Blue like the swirling methane gas giants orbiting a dying star. Blue like the color of home and everything Din has grown to love and let in.
This monster’s eyes are white. Almost translucent like the fog that limits Din’s vision. Opaline, glittering and blank. Nothing but pure white. No iris. No pupil. No blue. Nothing.

Din finds himself in the middle of everything he ever wanted. After a lifetime of telling himself no, what could be the harm in indulging just a little?
