The barrel adventure becomes somewhat of a tradition in the Monkey D. Family - and when we refer to the Monkey D. Family, we look at the ASL children and their assorted uncles, not the elder Monkey Ds who are most often than not out of the picture. No one is quite sure how it first happened or why, especially since Luffy’s explanations had been vague at best, but since then, it kept happening. But we digress… What exactly is the barrel adventure?

Summary
The tent is a mess. A sensory nightmare of haphazardly discarded pieces of cloth, silks and satins strewn on the ground, half burned parchments and discarded cards filling every nook and cranny the eye could see. What once must have been a soothsayer's safe space, now looks more akin to a dumping place to the point that Law is unsure whether he is in the right place or not.
"Trafalgar Law. Have you stopped defying fate?" A croaking voice echoes from behind a curtain of marbles. The woman that makes herself known is old and withered, hunched over by the years with eyes fogged by cataracts and lips too thin and chapped, dehydration speaking for itself in the tremors of her body.
She looks on the edge of death.
She looks too stubborn to die.
"They told me you can turn back time," Law decides to cut to the chase and ask. Better get his disappointment out of his system and leave. He doesn't want to be here longer than necessary; he had had enough of card wielding charlatans in Wano.

Summary
“Tell us the story again,” the little menace demanded in a shrill voice, his knees kicking Shanks in the ribs as he scampered up to perch himself on his mamãe’s shoulders.
“Not again,” Ace groaned, making a beeline to his parents, who seemed way too resigned at that request. “Come on, we’ve heard it thousands of times. Even Sabo agrees, don’t you Sabo?” As if Sabo would ever decline a request from his little brother.
“It’s better than hearing the story of Noland for the hundredth time in a day,” Sabo snarked, enjoying the outrage on his brother’s face at the betrayal. Truly, it wasn’t like each of them didn’t have a favourite story they demanded out of their parents and brothers again and again. Luffy just happened to be more vocal about his own.
“Very well. But it’s Rayleigh’s time to tell it. I’ve told it the last ten times.” Roger announced with a long suffering groan, picking Ace up and swinging him over his shoulders. Sometimes he regretted telling the boys what had been dubbed as THE STORY, but in a way it would have been impossible not to share it. Not when all of them were happy and hale, on the deck of the Oro Jackson, thanks to that impossible succession of events.
