Though what would become of the prince so proud in his standing when his heart and mind pull him in two different directions? And all over a disgraced noble moth who has long ago denounced any family connections, something the endfolk hold so close to themselves? Tommy had always hated hybrids.
Not for no reason of course. He wasn’t that much of a jerk.
It was just that he had never met one that wasn’t rude to him in one way or another. He hadn’t met one who wasn’t quick to hate him, disregard him, or just generally make him feel like crap.
They also seemed to be at the root of many of his traumatic experiences.
That was why Tommy wasn’t very pleased to be in this car right now. He wasn’t exactly thrilled to be headed to house number 14, one that Sam had told him was a family of hybrids.

Or, Tommy has been in foster care for most of his life and hates hybrids as a result of multiple bad houses. But when he arrives at his fourteenth house… he begins to heal and realizes that he might be one of the types of people he grew to hate.
