Summary
“I wish we never met!”
Kaveh regrets these words as soon as they leave his mouth. The first reason is because they were thrown out in the heat of anger. He doesn't entirely mean them.
The second reason is that Alhaitham transforms into a giant semi-Vulture creature in response, and a shady secret organization bursts in uninvited. They are called the "Analyze, Contain, Preserve" division of the Akademiya—or so they say.
(Kaveh still thinks it might be a cult.)Alhaitham has the choice between running away into the desert or complying with the ACP's bothersome procedures. That part is fine; he's used to it. They've been monitoring him his entire life, after all.
However, the added pressure of dealing with his incomprehensible feelings towards senior Kaveh adds a lot to his plate.Series

Summary
The beginning of spring always came with waves of gossip through Sumeru's high society, as the season of festivities was closely followed by judgmental eyes.
In the middle of this storm, two highly coveted bachelors, both illustrious for totally different reasons, were used to catching attention in the ballroom. But surely, Duke Alhaitham of Haravatat and Count Kaveh of Kshahrewar wouldn't start a scandal at the lord of Dendro's first seasonal party, right?

How to Relax an Overworked Architect by Arikan

Summary
Kaveh hasn't taken a break from work lately. In addition to being detrimental to his health, it means he hasn't been home much. And when he finally does come home, it's only to stay cooped up inside the study until late at night.
In order to help his boyfriend relax, Alhaitham must use his last resort: taunting him into a bickering session. (For Kaveh's health, of course. Not at all because Alhaitham feels lonely.)
The curtains he picked up at the Bazaar will do the trick. Their design will be sure to insult the architect's well-developed artistic senses and cause his frustration to rise in no time.
And so, convinced that his plan could not possibly backfire or get out of hand, Alhaitham buys the ugliest curtains ever seen on Sumeru's soil.

Summary
"Agent Sanad, welcome to the “Analyze, Contain, Preserve” division of the Akademiya. Your first mission is to evaluate ACP-024: the Grand Scribe.
ACP-024 is a shape-shifting, reality-bending creature of unknown origin. While he has been peacefully cohabiting with us, reports attest to his transformation into giant beasts.
He is generally calm and level-headed, so the task is simple. But don’t let yourself be fooled: his power could throw Sumeru into chaos.
Your goal today is to test the limits of ACP-024’s patience and accurately reevaluate the threat."Alhaitham had quite a disagreeable wake-up this morning. About once every two months, the ACP sends an agent to spy on his peaceful daily life. What a bother. Kaveh better spoil him rotten to help him cope with the pesky intruder.

Summary
“I can’t keep up with him anymore, Tighnari. Each day, I feel like I’m living with a different person, and it’s freaking me out! He’s getting out of control and I don’t know what to do about it!”
Because, yes, Kaveh is (once again) having problems with Alhaitham’s recent behavior. Between his excessive presence at home, the increasing compliments, the changes at Port Ormos, and the sudden need to be cuddled every minute of every day, Kaveh barely recognizes his boyfriend!
Anyway, let’s hope a week-long romantic expedition in the desert will fill the Scribe’s Kaveh Batteries (SKB) enough for Alhaitham to function normally again.

"The Dramatic In-Depth Journey of the Loveless Light" series by Arikan

Summary
“Alhaitham.
I won’t say my dear, my dearest or my love, or any other sweet names you don’t deserve. You never call me those anyway. But it doesn’t matter.Because this is goodbye. You won't see me for a while.”
The newly reinstated Scribe- not Acting Grand Sage anymore- with the biggest salary any Scribe as ever gained- finally free from all the pompous titles saving a nation bestow upon you- Alhaitham, just freshly clocked-out for the day, already has enough of this bullshit.
He might have neglected Kaveh for a bit. True. But who could judge him? Do you know how many books he missed on while being the Acting Grand Sage?
Anyway, from the unprecedented dramatics in this one greeting and first four sentences of a five-page letter, he hopes not all of Sumeru is involved in their lover’s spat.

Five Times Kaveh Felt Jealous, And One Time Alhaitham Shut It Down by ISteppedOnALego

Summary
Being possessive was not something Kaveh ever felt comfortable with. He loved and trusted Alhaitham so deeply to even begin to put it into words, yet that didn’t stop the burning sensation taking root in his chest. It wasn’t even about Alhaitham—his demeanor was, more or less, the same as always.
It was her.
Because she was standing just a little too close to what was his.
And, well, he didn’t like it.
or
Alhaitham’s apprentice has a crush on him—a fact that made Kaveh lose his mind. Just a little.

Summary
“Math?” And a published academic journal, at that?
“Yes.” Ratio returns the book to his bag, carrying on, but Aventurine’s stuck on the fact that this is apparently what he does in his free time outside of composing music.
“…I thought you were a pianist.”
“I am a pianist.”
“But– math?” Even Aventurine doesn’t spend that much time thinking about math, and he spends twelve hours a day staring at financial models.
“Does it not occur to you that it's possible to have more than one interest?”
Aventurine lives the same week on repeat: eighty hours of his soul-sucking high finance job, then two nights of dancing off the stress to the beat of his favorite anonymous DJ. His move into a luxury apartment building brings him next door to Ratio, an esteemed classical composer with a love for piano. Eager to make a good impression, Aventurine keeps his clubbing habit under wraps — but he’s not the only one hiding secrets under strobe lights.

Bookmarker's Notes
Aaaaaaaah ;-; I’m dying over the Ratio characterization in this one! He’s perfectly adorable and relatable and so human, I love it!
And genuinely some great plot structure and callbacks too! It feels like not a single detail is wasted, and it all wraps up nicely!
I like that we completely stick with the same POV throughout, but yet completely understand Ratio’s POV despite the distorted lens of Aventurine’s POV!
And it’s actually so impressive to keep this story so entertaining when the audience knows the “twist” (aka Ratio being Aventurine’s idol), really impressive use of dramatic irony!
Other than that… yep, some parts are wayyy too relatable, got me to tear up :’) thanks for the catharsis! -

Summary
This was the third time, now, and that did not bode well for Purson at all.
Once was unfortunate. Twice was a coincidence.
But three times? Three times indicated a pattern. Purson did not want there to be a pattern. He hadn’t wanted for there to be coincidence or misfortune, either, come to think of it.
And yet, here they were. At a pattern.
Devidamnit.Or: 5 times Purson has to watch people kiss right in front of him, and 1 time he finally snaps.

Summary
“Fuck,” Kaveh breathes.
“What? What happened?” Nilou turns—peeking over his shoulder and letting out a small “oh” before gently patting his back.
“What’s wrong?” Dehya asks. Kaveh wordlessly hands her his phone and drops his head in his hands.
“I’m never playing truth or dare again.”
“Well, I mean. It’s not that bad,” he hears Dehya say, unsure. “You mentioned you were drunk. You’ve done plenty of dumb shit while drunk. You took this dare while drunk.”
“Most of that dumb shit, Al-Haitham witnessed with his own eyes too,” Tighnari adds.
Kaveh glares at Tighnari. Tighnari smiles and shrugs.
(Kaveh confesses. Sort of.)
