Summary
Reaching at last the limits of his immortal life, Emrys is visited by a very old friend at Christmas. The Gods and Goddesses have decided to grant Merlin a blessing, in acknowledgment of his sacrifices and the actions of a blond royal. Prophecies will be fulfilled. The return of the Once & Future King on earth begins the endgame, with Merlin elevated into Avalon. In the heavens, the Final Revelations will unfold.
Note: This is a weird fic, based on a series of weird dreams the author has had over the last few months. It does feature references to major world religions, and the Prophets thereof (I'm in talks with Muslim and Jewish friends on how I best incorporate this while being respectful to the religion). Also there are and will be appearances of characters from other mythologies alongside the Arthurian legends as tagged. This is a huge sandpit I'm writing within for this work, however, at its core it is still a Merthur story, based on the relationship between Merlin and Arthur as portrayed in BBC's Merlin.
