Summary
Harry is finally returning to Hogwarts for his fourth year, however he isn't greeting the year with the joy typical of him. Instead the boy is a shell of the one they previously knew, he jerks from even the most friendly touches, won't look anyone in the eyes and refuses to so much as make a sound. With the stress of the Tri-Wizard Tournament and everyone trying to get him to go back to how he was the year is going worse and worse for Harry. After getting changed to Slytherin, his new housemates are determined to help the boy no matter the previous nature of their relationship. But what they don't realize is the biggest threat to Harry right now is his own mind.

Poor kid, he had time to think before his eyes traveled from the body covered by the heating blanket to the young man's face.
His heart dropped in his chest and his whole body turned cold with fear.
“Oh god…Whitaker?” he said as his eyes landed on the very familiar face.
The young man was deathly pale, skin waxy and lips blue, but there was no doubt in his mind that this was their former med student that he hadn't seen in months lying lifeless on the gurney, body covered in blankets, c-collar around his neck and breathing tube in his mouth and secured to his face.

Dennis doesn't get matched with PTMC or the emergency department. Almost a year later he is brought into the ER in critical condition. By then no one has heard from him in months.

During one January dinner, Ron and Hermione realise Harry has gone missing. The whole of the castle goes on a manhunt for him when everyone realises he hasn't been in class all day, and has not been seen by the general population.
Draco Malfoy, unwittingly searching through the dungeons for him, even though he wants to just drink his hot chocolate, and mind his own fucking business- thank you very much, Pans- stumbles onto Harry in the kitchens.
As to what Harry is doing... now, that will shock Draco.
