Midoriya Izuku is a university sophomore, a fanboy, quirkless. On the list of things he is not: a hero.
That's why he's more surprised than anyone when he rescues Todoroki Shouto, his favorite pro hero, from a deadly villain attack. His actions fling him into the media spotlight, grabbing the attention of the entire country, including Todoroki himself. But Todoroki actually wants to get to know him past the headlines.

It was tactics. Honestly, it was. There was only so many times Lance could stand to be flipped and pinned to the floor, or the wall, or find himself panting and generally staring up at the smug look on Keith’s face before drastic action was called for.
So Lance kissed him.
aka Lance finds out that kissing Keith is a great tactic for distraction, and it inevitably turns into a competition. Lance thinks it’s the natural next step in their rivalry, and he refuses to be bested.

He and Keith were as happy as ever and everything was going well, until events from six months ago started coming back to haunt them. Turns out, Lance hadn't outgrown living in constant fear quite yet.
Because, no matter how much reassurance Keith gave him, it didn’t help.

But due to a misunderstanding during their first encounter, Lance now thinks Keith is the biggest jerk alive.
