What happens when you put two groups of kids with powers together with the same goal?
When Mike Wheeler was young all he could remember was white sterile walls and a cheap uncomfortable bed with no blankets. Life was awful and between pushing his mind to do impossible things and being locked away he always had the reassurance of the voices.
The voices sounded like freedom and if he tried hard enough he could see that they were attached to a number like his own. They called themselves the losers as a collective.
Years on, Mike is fourteen and living for away from the lab in a place called Hawkins. He has a sort of family and the friends he escaped with.
When the lab fell, they escaped with their lives. Now years on, the voices of the losers come in short dreams, still there, but like him, they are now free and have names like Richie and Bill.
Mike knew when one night, as he and the party were playing a game, that the world was changing once more. He knew they were no longer safe, that the threat from their collective pasts was trying to find then once more. And when the voices came again, they whispered together
