Married to a tyrant, Rey isn't surprised when the people of his empire come to see his blood spilled. But she is surprised when Kylo Ren, named 'king killer', becomes emperor and decides to not only keep her alive, but take her as his own empress.

In light of the recent misery of TROS, I find myself returning to fanfic. I loved writing this story, I hope you enjoy it as well.Picking up where The Last Jedi left off. Lots of intrigue, a deep story line and our favorite star-crossed Lovers.

“Because I can’t let monsters rule the galaxy,” she spat.
“I offered you the galaxy and it wasn’t enough!”
Kylo’s accusation hung heavy in the air for a moment.
“I was never interested in the galaxy,” Rey shouted at him.
“Well, maybe I’m not either!”
The words were out of Kylo’s mouth before he knew where they came from. Rey’s eyes widened and her lips parted in disbelief. The sudden impulse of his words seemed to carry from his mouth to hers as he leaned over and kissed Rey deeply. -

Summary
Immediately following the events of The Last Jedi, the battle for the galaxy continues between the First Order and the last of the Resistance. His desperation as he’d said “Please.” The sheer size of him, combined with the peek at his vulnerabilities she’d gotten from this strange, antagonistic Force bond.
As if she’d summoned him, his consciousness brushed against her own, dark and tempting.
You hate me, he said in her mind.
There wasn’t a word to encompass how she felt about him. Yes, she agreed, ignoring the twinge of guilt.

The discovery of a strange book takes her back to Tatooine and other familiar locations, and soon Ben returns to a world that is working hard to rebuild itself in the wake of the Final Order's destruction.

"I love you," she blurts out and Ben...his eyes widen with confusion, the burning intensity softening to be replaced with shock. He swallows hard, glancing from her eyes to her lips, then back again. There's a soft pink bleeding across the tops of his cheekbones and over his shoulder she can see Anakin dropping his face into his hands.
Ben opens his mouth, but seems to struggle to find the words for a moment. When he does his voice is slightly higher pitched, breathless in a way that makes Rey's knees a little weak, "Is...is this a new Resistance counter technique to interrogation?"
