On his eleventh birthday, he got called a faggot by his father, and so on his 12th birthday, he stopped celebrating it. His mother didn’t notice, and she probably didn’t care. She was too busy smoking and going to her aerobics classes at the mall. He didn’t tell anyone about his birthday.

So what was one more?
This bad omen though, turned out to be their new muggle studies teacher, who looked a bit too long, got too close for comfort, just something was off about him, at least Sirius could see it.
