Summary
King must think Uea is just trying to rile him up, to make him sweat it a little, and well, it's part of it. Uea has never been one to give in easily, and maybe he needs the reassurance, needs to see that King can handle it and still want him, needs the proof that there is something to their relationship beyond the "benefits".
But he can admit at least to himself that there is more to it. It is a test, but not the one King thinks it is. Uea is not just testing King’s restraint or determination.
It’s just, Uea’s “no” have been so easily ignored in the past.
Uea needs to be sure.
