"We leave mid-dinner, make out sloppily in a hallway, and make sure to get caught," Hao finishes.
"We… do that, yes." Hanbin stops pacing long enough to shoot Hao a pointed look. "How do you manage to make it sound scandalous?"
Or, Chaebol Sung Hanbin is arranged to be married to a girl he barely even knows. He then finds an ad taped to a street pole, and hires rental boyfriend Zhang Hao on a whim in order to escape the marriage.

Summary
Erik Lehnsherr has two lives. During the day, he's a clerk living in New York. He's a normal guy who doesn't particularly like his job and who doesn't have many friends. At night, things are a bit more complicated: he's a hitman, in deep need of money. One day, he's contacted to kill one Charles Xavier, a teacher and writer who is about to publish a book about Mutants, which could be dangerous for their community. Plus, the job is very well paid, so Erik has two reasons to accept it.
And then Erik meets Charles. Of course, things don't go as planned.

Hao wets his lips. “I… I’m engaged,” he says. He holds his breath so that he doesn’t immediately take back what he’s said.
A moment passes.
And then another.
When Waipo still doesn’t say anything, he keeps forcing words out of his mouth. “It’s a bit of a—well, you know. We were going to wait a while, but since you… since… since we’d like for you to be there, I’ll talk to him about pushing it up.”
“But, Hao… who is this man you’re marrying? I didn’t know you were even seeing anyone.”
The strangest part about all of this is that the moment she asks, the name every single man he’s ever known falls out of his head, unreachable. Except for one.
“Hanbin.”
“Hanbin? Our Hanbin?”
“I—” His mouth is dry. “Yes.”
Thanks to his increasingly ridiculous life choices, Zhang Hao is engaged to a veritable stranger. A very handsome stranger, but a stranger nonetheless. He’ll make it work. Somehow.

When Zhang Hao ends up newly single with a non-refundable couples vacation to Jeju already booked, he finds a stranger online willing to spend two weeks pretending to be his boyfriend. It seems like the perfect rebound, right up until he starts to catch feelings for Hanbin.

“What are you doing here?”
How is he supposed to explain this? That he's following a breadcrumb trail left behind by versions of Hanbin who haven’t met him yet. He thinks of the Hanbin who cried in his backyard, who didn’t speak Mandarin, who didn’t even recognize him until the last second. Who looked at him like he was a lifeline just before he vanished.
He thinks about all the things Hanbin won’t say, and all the things Zhang Hao has figured out anyway, by paying attention, by collecting every fleeting moment and trying to stitch them into something whole.
He doesn’t know what happens next. But he knows that he wants to find out, and that he’s tired of waiting.
“I’m coming to find you.”
Zhang Hao is just trying to survive college when Hanbin appears in his dorm room, and then vanishes before he can ask who he is. Over and over, Hanbin returns, sometimes older or younger, and always out of order. Zhang Hao may not know what the future holds, but he knows he's slowly starting to fall for the time traveler that keeps coming back to him.
