And how badly had that ended last time, in nothing but betrayal and insults?

It’s not until George is finally drifting off to sleep, feeling sticky and used, that he really sees it. He sees the man he used to be, brazen and content. He misses that man dearly.
He wonders how he withered away into bruises on thighs and scarring on wrists. He wonders if he could still turn back or if it’s too late for him.
He wraps his arms tighter around himself, sobbing silently as his fingers dig into his rib cage. He doesn’t want to spend the rest of his life like this. But he doesn't want to die tonight, either.

Maybe it's time George let somebody love him.

I just had a visceral reaction to that last line. I mean, how dare you! It's just rude, honestly. This whole story is rude. How dare you write something this hurtful and perfect. I mean, I didn't know angst could be this good and now that I know, what exactly am I supposed to do with this revelation? Do I seek out more angst? Because I can't read bad angst after this. That just sounds like torture. But I could read more of this kind of angst; this sweet, gorgeous, heart-breaking kind of angst. I don't know, though. I might have to just sit and think about this for awhile. I'm not sure if I'm emotionally stable enough to read anything else at the moment. Thank you for writing something so beautiful. It's been so long since I've read something that really sucked me in like this did.

Dude, I just heard about SuperMega like 4 hours ago and I'm already onto reading fanfiction about them. That happened so fast, holy shit! But how could you not immediately seek out fanfics for this ship? It's a no brainer, honestly. And this one was fucking perfect. Absolutely loved it.
