Summary
Geralt and Jaskier are headed to the Halloween staff party at Stregobor’s house. The theme of the party is The Witcher. All of the staff at Kaedwen Academy had to dress up as a character from the show. Geralt had been assigned the witcher himself, with the muscular build and dramatic white hair. Jaskier, the music teacher, was the bard, naturally. (“Any excuse to pull out my lute!” Jaskier crowed when he found out his character.)
Geralt and Jaskier had been dating for a few months now, but, disappointingly, the witcher and the bard were merely friends on the show. Officially. Perhaps there's something they can do about it, once the games begin.

As Nilfgaard slowly floods the Continent with the blood of the innocent, and structured lives of people who cultivate the land unfold into chaos…
As the growing collective dread begins to appear as an inevitable consequence of fundamental flaws in human nature which can lead only to slow deterioration and painful social decline…

If this was a porno, that’s how it’d start, right? Locker room bully pushes the twink down (ok they skipped that step, twink went down all by himself as some sort of fucked up power move because Johnny feeling at home in locker rooms pisses him off, for some reason), then he’d grab a handful of his hair, tell him to open his mouth – but that shit always ends the same way. The guy on his knees is always secretly gagging for it, just looking for a strong man to make him take it like he’s wanted all along. Where’s the fun, otherwise?

Summary
Is that a pickup line? Maybe. It’s the worst one Geralt has ever heard in his very long life, but that isn’t the problem. The problem races, red hot down the length of his forearm, pooling uncomfortably around his soulmark. The scrawled out writing on the underside of his wrist had told Geralt the first thing his soulmate was going to say to him as soon as he could read. Silly as it had sounded, it’s even more ridiculous out loud.
To say Geralt is not a fan of destiny is a monumental understatement. Given the fact that the soul mark scrawled out on his wrist is the worst pickup line he's ever heard, he doesn't anticipate his soulmate being any more welcome than anything else that life has saddled him with. But the longer he spends with Jaskier, the harder his soulmate is to resist, and somewhere along the way Geralt knows he'll have to reckon with whether his feelings are manufactured by kismet or truly his own.

Today was, without a single doubt, the most peculiar day of Jaskier’s life.
“I’m sorry,” he said to Yennefer, blinking up at her, very glad that he was seated on the side of the thin bed. “I think you just said that I’m pregnant.”
The sorceress’s violet eyes harbored not an iota of humor. She crossed her arms under her ample bosom, and said, “You are pregnant.”
“Pregnant with a magnificent bounty of well-crafted songs?”
Her eyes narrowed. Under any other circumstances, he would have felt a mighty frisson of fear skittering down his spine. He was far too horrified of the words that rolled off her plump, red-painted lips next.
“You are pregnant with a baby.”
______________________________________In which Jaskier discovers that he's mysteriously pregnant but wants the baby, Geralt finally learns to use his words after twenty years, Yennefer is so done with two idiots in love and their communication problems, and Ciri gains a new family.
