Summary

“Kenny!” He stifles, hastily swallowing the tang of bile tinging against his teeth. “I- you’re back.”
This reunion was supposed to manifest on Monday, after Kyle had given himself two half-inebriated days in preparation. Not like this, with him magnanimous and mesmerizingly stood at his front door, hot pink cat carrier in his hand and the damp, rain-soaked slit of cotton carving his chest for Kyle to view.
“Yeah, hey.” He says, words modest and impassive. He’s barely the gangly, amiable boy Kyle had left all those years ago. He’s broader, filling up the space of Kyle’s doorway and looming into the hall. “You have my cat?”
“Your cat?” Kyle repeats in mindless dismay, before the words are clawing at his skull and he’s widening the door for Kenny with a flustered oh in recognition. “Oh, yeah, your cat. Come in.”
Kyle convinced himself that he was fine, that he has moved on from Kenny. It's been two years since he left and Kyle has built a new life for himself. Their reunion is unpleasant, and Kyle decides he still hates him.
Apparently, hatred isn’t enough to stop Kyle from sleeping with him again.

It started with a mistake. He wasn’t supposed to find the photos. The journals. Years of stolen moments, proof that Cartman had been watching him, studying him, collecting pieces of him.
He should have confronted him. He should have burned it all. Instead, Kyle took a journal home.

Like most people, Kyle never expected to become the sixth intended victim of a crazed serial murderer and only narrowly escape with his life. Almost a decade of therapy, pills and panic attacks later, and all he'd done was retreat further from the threat of human interaction.
The sole breadwinner for his dysfunctional family, Kenny worked three jobs and turned tricks on the side to make ends meet, yet still the hits kept coming.
It took several years, 317 grocery deliveries and low blood sugar for fate to bring Kyle and Kenny together. If only their problems weren't so set on keeping them apart.

Craig is haunted by vanilla, and something sweet. Like honey, like sugar on his tongue. A certain essence of sweetness that Kyle possessed. Back in Rhode Island, Craig is left with nothing but the sweet memories of vanilla and honey, of pink freckled cheeks, and the photo of a red head he’d cut from his yearbook. And it's maddening, this need to have Kyle near and all for himself. So much so that he'll do whatever it takes.
