Over a decade ago, the era of Pro Heroes narrowly avoided a catastrophically tragic end. A new generation of up-and-coming heroes now defends Japan's fragile peace.
Though raised by the widely-recognized Midoriya 'Deku' Izuku for most of his life, Masahiro is at first reluctant to enter the field of Heroics himself. When it comes to choosing high schools, though, his desire to prove himself to his father and a slew of honorary older siblings wins out. He arrives at U.A. armed with an uncommon quirk, a murky past, and a cunning mind. One particular question troubles him: Can he become someone who saves people? Does he even want to be that kind of person?
As he bonds with a class filled with eccentric, skilled, and often troubled students, Masahiro must discover his own reasons to become a hero. But the terrors of the past are starting to re-emerge from the shadows... and when they strike, it'll be when U.A.'s newest hero hopefuls least expect it.
