Jax’s eyes flickered upwards, and for a very brief moment they met Thomas’, who quickly looked away and found his seat. Thomas shook his head. Maybe he just wanted to be like him. That made sense.
He picked up his pencil, and despite willing himself to stay concentrated on the test paper, he found his gaze wandering away every once in a while.
Like Pomni said, Thomas thought, he just seems pretty cool.
That’s all.Jax was cool. Like, extremely cool. It made sense that Pomni liked him (well, Thomas was pretty sure Pomni liked him, at least). Thomas was just jealous, just envious of his new rival, and that’s why he was so drawn to him… almost to the point of obsession.

Originally posted to FimFiction in September 2021 for a Cozy Glow writing competition. Cover image included.

Every child in Equestria starts their story with a magical innocence—no matter how bratty, no matter how selfish. Blended provides a glimpse into Cozy Glow’s life as she wrestles with conflicting feelings and recounts exactly how she got to the point of no return.
Only, can she be salvaged?
At the end of the day she is as much of a child as any other 11 year old. She is complex with individual hopes, dreams, and desires. Misguided or not, all she really wanted was a family, and with one her story might’ve ended differently.
