Summary

Summary
Margaret and Phillip spent years not seeing their children and then slowly got back into contact with them until this point, where they think they’re in a pretty decent place, actually.
Except then Buck gets injured and, as his hospital room fills with evidence of a life they know absolutely nothing about and they meet and hear about people they’ve never heard of (including a child?!), they realise that perhaps it was all simply too little, too late after all.

Hey, it’s not like Wolfwood can go to Hell any harder, right? It’s like, a one-and-done deal? Once someone sins, that’s pretty much it—damned for eternity and all that.
It’s something of a comforting reminder that rolls through him as he collects the funds to exorcise this next “evil spirit”, one that slams doors and rattles the house’s fragile frame every day from dawn to dusk. An evil spirit Wolfwood’s fairly certain is simply heavy drafts caused by the brutal suns warming this shithole of a planet.
It’s easy to spritz some holy water around the home. It’s also easy to wiggle their single, rickety window free, locking it shut. It makes the guilt lingering in his gut a bit more manageable.
Wolfwood tries to get rid of the ghost that's haunting the town of Eden.
