Lucerys Velaryon was meant to die.

"So you were the one causing me so much trouble on the battlefield." Fingers grasped his chin and dragged his head up to look at the man. His eyes became focused and he saw who was before him. The man who rode the dragon. Long pink hair and blood red eyes.
For all the blood shed that day he didn't have a droplet on him. His lip curled at the man. How many had died because of him and that damned dragon. Dream inhaled and though it hurt his entire body he didn't regret it.
The fingers at his chin tightened and the man began laughing. A deep rumbling laugh. Those red eyes didn't look away. His lightly tanned skin was now splattered in blood. Dream felt himself fading from the realm of consciousness and as he sunk into the darkness he vaguely heard the man muse to himself, "No one has ever dared spit on me, how amusing."

Summary
Wilhelm returns to school after Christmas break with his horse. Riding was something he use to love. He stopped because Erik stopped and he had always fallen in-step behind his brother. Now, with his brother gone, and his mother's insistence that his new role as Crown Prince is to be placed above all else, Wilhelm insist on getting back in the saddle, to claw back a piece of himself. His horse is just one small piece though. Can he claw back the rest under the new found scrutiny and stares? Can he earn back Simon's trust? Can he earn back his heart?
