Summary
Lightning flashed, lighting up the alley in front of him, revealing mud covered heels. He blinked and looked up, staring unseeingly at the woman standing in front of him. She wore a black evening gown, though the hem was ripped and rotting. The pearls on her necklace were framed and set into what looked like bottlecaps, the delicate chain missing links and replaced with thicker, common steel chain links. Her opera gloves were stained with green sludge and red brown smears on the fingers. Her hair was thick and grimy, whatever style it had once been carefully arranged in mussed and ruined.
She smirked, lips twitching as she stared at him, as though he weren’t kneeling in a puddle of his parents' blood with their corpses lying beside him.
“Who…?” His voice was barely audible over the rain as he spoke. She reached forward, hand grasping his chin and tilting his head side to side.
“I’ll see you again...”

Summary

Summary
During his childhood, Izuku Midoriya befriends a young man named Monkey D. Luffy on the latter's trip to Japan. Inspired by Luffy, Izuku decides to become a hero, eventually leading to his inheritance of One for All. During Izuku's training, Luffy returns to Japan, and Izuku decides to accompany Luffy down to the Sabaody Archipelago, where he sees the horrors of the Grand Line first hand... and once he does, he knows that this world he never knew existed is one that he has to save.
This is a long fic, and prior knowledge of each series is not required. Here's a excerpt from the story!
“Good people can do bad things… much like bad people can do good.” Izuku began, “Sometimes, those bad things make someone a criminal, and sometimes, those good things can make someone a hero.”
All Might understood where Izuku was going, but nonetheless, the teen still elaborated.
“And… regardless of whether or not those definitions are flawed, and regardless of whether or not we’ll fix them in the future… those are still the definitions we go by.” Izuku continued, choking on his words, for even he didn't truly want to hear them, “Right now, Luffy is a villain, and heroes… stop villains, and save the day.”
