Summary
Inspired by an article about relationship words that are difficult to translate into English
My goal is to write one story with a specific pairing for each word found in the article, though there will be words that I will choose not to write (especially the sad ones, for personal reasons).
As much as possible I try to research the word so that I can represent it well into the story but my apologies in advance if I misrepresent/mistranslate anything. Please feel free to point out my mistakes and thank you in advance for reading!

It’s a one time thing, Phainon thinks as he leaves Mydei’s room that day. It’s a one time thing, surely it is, because that is the only way Mydei would ever allow it. A momentary reprieve, a flaw in judgment, a mistake. One that the Kremnoan prince would never allow to happen ever again.
Or simply, because Phainon doesn’t deserve another, and that the Gods surely won’t be so kind to give him another. He is content with that. He tries to be, even with all the dreams and thoughts that plagues him. Even with all the flashes of images running through his head every time he lays his eyes on Mydei — of hands, his hands, running through his chest, and of lips biting through tender flesh.

“Glad to see you back among the living,” Phainon says through a yawn, clearly having spent the night in the uncomfortable chair in the infirmary by Mydei’s side. Like he often does.
Mydei’s head hurts. Just the regular kind of pain, easily managed by ignoring it until it goes away. But what makes it worse, is the confusion at his predicament. The memories returning to him in death used to vary in time and people who appeared in them. Why is it always Phainon nowadays?
“Fuck you,” Mydei says, hoarsely. He feels like he is losing his mind.
Phainon’s mouth locks mid-yawn and he blinks down at him stupidly, tilting his head with confusion. It’s probably fair, he hasn’t even done anything to earn Mydei’s ire as of late.
or; Human brain lives for a few more minutes after dying, replaying the most cherished memories. Mydei starts seeing Phainon after each of his deaths.

“Perhaps another time?” Phainon laughs easily, placing himself at Mydei’s side and smoothly extracting him from the woman’s grip. He places his hand on Mydei’s nape in a friendly manner, tugging lightly on his hair. “We have some important business to attend to right now. Sorry to take Mydei here away from you, I’m sure he was having the time of his life.”
