It's late at night, and your headlights aren't working properly when you hit and kill a man that you don't recognise. It had been entirely your fault. You were driving recklessly, more focused on your own anger than the road. If you were a better person, maybe you'd turn yourself in, so you could be held accountable and the man's family be given some closure. But you're not a better person. You've decided the world has taken far too much from you.
For some inane reason, Billy Hargrove - Hawkins' resident heartthrob, and more importantly, the man that beat the shit out of one of your best friends - helps you cover it up.
Slowly, you start to want him to consume you before the guilt does.

One of the most well-written and well thought out pieces of fiction i’ve ever had the pleasure of laying my eyes upon. The suspense, diction, and wordplay is amazing and I truly look forward to seeing how the author progresses the story in the future. Truly amazing.
