I do not wish for us to be friends, and I do not intend to become closer to you solely because we are roommates. As long as you stay out of my hair we may stay on courteous terms.” And with that he walked into his room and closed the door behind him with a soft click of the lock.

It's a beautiful thing for society—but a side effect, for the universally beloved auror Harry Potter, is boredom.
For better or worse, that boredom is about to end. There's a problem with one of Harry's vaults—vault 711 to be specific. The historic Black family vault. It's the source of a significant amount of magical decay. Admittedly, Harry doesn't exactly know what magical decay is, but that's fine. The good news is that a cursebreaker has already been assigned to the case.
The bad news is that the assigned cursebreaker is none other than Draco Malfoy.
This work is a plotty winter mystery with an ensemble cast, featuring magical theory, snark, cursebreaking, smut, and romance. Chapters generally alternate POV.
