Summary
The first time it happens, Will classifies it as a little accident.
When he wakes, the morning sun is burning through the window onto their faces, and Mike’s cursing as he stands to close the curtains, stumbling all the way.
“Scoot over,” he grumbles, voice dry, and for a second Will can’t do anything other than sigh like a lovesick idiot. It’s a second too late for Mike, because he grumbles more words Will doesn’t catch under his breath and then physically pushes Will towards the wall to lay beside him, arm over Will’s middle. A second of silence passes, then Mike sighs, only to whine: “Fuck, my head hurts.”
Will can’t help it: he breaks down laughing, much to Mike’s offense.

Summary
As soon as William began casting the spell, he felt his energy leaving him with the words.
He focused in his mind on his paladin and on the bond that always sang so sweetly between them. He imagined him, in all his brave and courageous self when they stood side by side on the battlefield, his long, dark and wavy hair, often plastered to his forehead from sweat under his helmet, but silky to the touch. Will could imagine running his fingers through it. Memories of his brilliant smile resurfaced next, a smile that turned something akin to shyness whenever their eyes would meet across the room; freckles dotting his cheeks like stars themselves. A sword on his belt, a shield on his back. His warm, gloveless hand holding Will's own. He imagined all that and pulled at their vow.
“My love, where are you? Show me, where are you? No matter the distance, the plane of existence or time itself, I will find you.”OR:
Paladin Mike gets send into regular Hawkins world, and Will the Wise is trying to find him at all cost.

“Since when?” William asked, preparing himself for a story filled with hatred before Michael finally drew back his sword.
“Have I known?” The paladin responded, as if buying himself time for his next answer. After months spent in agony and confusion over his knight, William was in no mood to entertain his delays.
“Yes,” William said bluntly.
Realizing he was cornered, Michael simply took a deep breath before dropping the secret that’d been laying so heavily on his chest, “When I caught your eyes the day we met, I lost the battle, my cleric. My devotion has been to you, and solely you, since then. Your gaze left a spell on me that shall never be broken.”

Will the Wise is forced to pair with Mike the Brave and hates every second of it. The paladin’s arrogance and impulsiveness angers him until he (literally) sweeps him off his feet. Soon, the cleric realizes the paladin was trying to impress his crush the entire time.

Oh god. He vaguely thinks. A rational part of his brain vaguely thinks. However, Will had quickly strayed away from the precious light of sanity and Jesus just as he had strayed away from the possibility to ever become normal after setting a foot in the Upside Down. Nonetheless, Will allows himself to have hope. He had seen an A.A poster the other day, after all, which if it wasn’t the universe giving him signs. Maybe if there’s a I-don’t-think-I’ve-ever-been-attracted-to-a-girl, maybe-I'm-in-love-with-my-best-friend anonymous, well, he would be delighted-
