Summary
Several months after reverting the world to its original reality, Akira finds himself miserable back in his hometown. His parents are never around, his classmates want nothing to do with him, and confiding in his friends back in Tokyo requires a level of vulnerability he’s not sure he could ever achieve. Convinced that moving back to Tokyo would solve all of his problems, he resigned himself to waiting out the remaining time until graduation. Then a former detective walks into his after-school job.

Amamiya Ren is just trying to get through his probation without being found out as the leader of the upstart Phantom Thieves. If only the people he's meeting would stop mistaking him for some guy named "Akira."

After defeating the God of Control, Yaldabaoth, Akira suddenly finds himself all the way back in April. He decides to use this chance to help all those he couldn't save before.
He gets pretty confused when people he never met in the previous timeline become more and more relevant to his journey, though. Who the hell is that red-head? And why Shujin suddenly did one (1) good thing by hiring a counsellor for the students?
It's okay, though. None of that is as confusing as the guy who was going to put a bullet in his skull in a few months suddenly bending over a pool table in front of him.
Akira was fucked.
Or: Akira gets sent back in time after the events of vanilla Persona 5 and suddenly finds himself in the Persona 5 Royal timeline.
