Summary
Gihun’s whole body burned with pain jolting through him, his head was pounding and he could faintly feel his hair grow wet, the blood on his fall— whether that be from his own body or the one below him— was sinking into his skin, staining it. He couldn’t bear to move. All he wanted to do was scream, yell, call out for help he knew wouldn’t arrive.
The closest sight of salvation was the grey figure standing above him, covering the lights that once blinded him. He thought this might be the last thing he sees before he dies.
Or, Gihun survives the fall.

“Your rut should hit before the games end, yes?” Il-nam chirps, like it’s an entirely acceptable thing to ask, and In-ho clenches his jaw.
Stiffly, obediently, he answers, “Yes, sir. It won’t interfere with my performance.”
The old Alpha leans in, devious intent glittering behind the mask. “You should use 456.”
“Sir?”
“Really. I want you to have him. I picked him out for you. His scent is excellent, despite his background. And he’s very docile.”
“That’s very thoughtful, sir,” In-ho says, and tries to turn away, but the Host catches at his sleeve and emits a musty pulse of dominant pheromones, the frail old fingers shockingly strong.
"Tonight,” he says placidly. “He’ll die tomorrow, and I want those tapes.”
In-ho’s stomach turns. They’ve never intruded on his rut like this, on a moment of privacy this primal, this raw.
“I have,” he says, slightly raw around the edges, “Perhaps, a... more entertaining alternative.”-
The Host wants the Front Man to put on a show with Player 456. In-ho would rather eat glass, so he comes up with an alternative offer.
Player 218 will watch the coupling.
The VIPs will watch Player 218.

“You… you’re a vampire. You’re just like him.”
“I am, yes. And I tried to save you-”
“Save me?” Gi-hun lets out a bitter, disbelieving laugh. “Save me by biting my neck and sucking my blood dry? That’s your idea of help?”
Seong Gi-hun wasn’t supposed to survive the day. On the run from debt collectors, he’s sold off as a blood bag to a vampire. The plan was simple: deliver, drain, detain, dispose.
Hwang In-ho bursting in, ripping that plan to shreds, and accidentally forming a bond with him weren’t part of the agreement.

“Gi-hun, I’m hurt,” Jung-bae puffed his chest out in his mock offence and placed his hand over it, “I’m your best friend–”
“--Sang-woo’s my best friend.”
Jung-bae pauses, blinking, “He’s your fiancé.” The fact that Jung-bae could say only that and a smile would break onto Gi-hun’s face is indicator enough that he’s with the right man for him. Realistically he can be both, but Jung-bae’s just trying to make a point, “I’m your best friend, and I’m having to find this stuff out about you for myself! …And I owe Sae-byeok 100,000 won.”
