Summary
My life is split into two parts: Before, and After.
I remember before perfectly, because it was just yesterday. I was digging a spot for Mister O'Alies tomb stone, out in the cemetery behind the house. Living in a Funeral Parlor had its ups and downs, the main down side was that i didn't go to school, and was taught instead, how to dig exactly six feet in little under thirty minutes. But, an up side was that once my father died, i would inherit the Parlor. Which had been my dream since i was little.
I walked back into the house through the kitchen door, which i had to duck through. My father stood at the table, leaning on his arms over a few bits of paper in-front of him.
"Ah, finally." He sighed, pulling his glasses off his nose and slipping them into his pocket.
"Pack a small case with some change of clothes." He said, holding two train tickets. "We've a body to fetch down in Blackpool."The before had ended, and now the After was beginning.

Volt was knelt on the floor beside their shared bed. Staring into his lovers eyes as deep as he could. His few last moments with him, before he had to leave. He had to make room for the new object. Though he hated the thought of leaving him alone, to be tossed out and thrown into a dumpster, even after all he did for the house and the objects and the human. He hated it. He couldn't bare to kneel on the floor, waiting for it to happen. But it was all he could do. As he waited for his lover to be removed. And for his replacement to take his place.

Leaving to work on other jobs. 20 years later Mann Co hired 9 new mercs to replace the team. The new fortress team used the same respawn machine. When the respawn machine breaks a long dead man is brought back to life, and the team must figure what to do with the stranger.
