Summary
Coming back to the flat after a night out partying, Merlin doesn't expect Arthur to be waiting for him. He does, however, expect Arthur's anger at his escapade, yet he knows better than to retaliate. Not when Arthur gets like this, hiding distress behind a mask of cruelty.

Summary
All in all, Arthur was one of those men about whom it could be said that their heart was in the right place, although he did take great pains to hide it. Still, the core of decency made Merlin endure the thick layers of arrogance (and their thin crispy crust of arseholery) with more patience than he’d ever thought possible. There was indeed a promise of greatness about Arthur that Merlin was willing to believe in.

Summary
In an attempt to distract himself from his unrequited feelings for Arthur, Merlin hooks up with Mordred. Arthur, for some indiscernible reason, is not amused.
"But back to the topic of the aforementioned feelings – it would be one thing for Merlin to have some elaborate wank fantasies over a bloke who's hot, can't help it, nobody's fault, a hot bloke's a hot bloke. But the whole falling-in-love thing, was that really necessary? Couldn't destiny have been content with making Merlin think with his private parts, did it have to bring his heart into the equation?
Well. Most likely, Merlin mused, destiny had nothing to do with it and it was just the usual, as it has been all throughout human history: a combination of bad judgement and shite luck."- Language:

Summary
"Leave it, Arthur," Merlin says, scrubbing his face dry with the cuff of his tunic. Half-shadowed, half-moonlit, the curl of his body seems fragile, but his tear-clogged voice is as fierce as ever. "I know what you’re going to say and I know you mean well but I don’t want to hear it, not now."
After the veil between worlds has been repaired, Arthur finds himself unequipped to deal with the emotional fallout from Lancelot's sacrifice - especially as it pertains to Merlin and Lancelot's relationship.
The one Arthur never knew about, and now can't stop thinking about.
