A tumble of white-hair and flying limbs suddenly burst through the door as Quil shouldered it open. She overestimated the force she needed to do so and wound up in a heap on the wooden floor of the little cottage, staring up at a concerned Daylin whose gold eyes seemed brighter than last she saw the eladrin elf.
“I thought I was going to have to push a lot harder,” Quil murmured as she pushed stray locks of hair away from her face and sat up, “You don’t look deathly ill.”
Daylin couldn’t help the explosive laugh that burst past her lips, she’d missed Quil’s blunt humor, “The others may have been exaggerating, but it’s not safe for you to be here.”
Quil cocked her head to the side inquisitively, “Why? Because of lycanthropy?”

“Beau-”
“No,” Beau held a hand up in Yasha’s direction. “I am so tired of hearing everyone whisper your name in fear as if you’re listening from the shadows.”
The late afternoon sun glinted off the rings decorating Obann’s knuckles as his fist swung towards Beau’s face. Much to her own surprise, she stepped back and The world around her slowed, the ambient noise of the picturesque park around them growing quieter until all she could hear was the steady beat of her heart. Beau was tired of being scared and tired of suppressing the anger she felt boiling in her blood.
If only Dairon could see Beau putting all the skills she’d learned to use; though, on second thought, it was a good idea her mentor wasn’t there watching her go hand-to-hand with a person as dangerous as Obann.

Zuala raised a brow as Beau’s voice trailed off, her eyes flicking down to look at the toned body she had pinned to the inside of Yasha’s bedroom door lifting her gaze to see cautious blue hues staring back at her.
“If I wasn’t sure, I wouldn’t have just spent the past twenty minutes talking about how much I like you.” The woman assured with an exasperated chuckle as Beau’s eyes widened in surprise.
It baffled and amused Zuala that this woman could still be so stubborn to believe it after listening to her confess her feelings for Beau. “I also wouldn’t have asked to kiss you after that, and I certainly wouldn’t have pinned you to the door.”

The music took a turn then, the bright crystalline instrument tones replaced by deep, dark synths and basses that shook your chest when they echoed through the room. Yasha also saw a change in Beau’s demeanor. Gone was the friendly smile and innocent requests, this was the same Beau that had locked eyes with her from across the room that day so many months ago and nearly made her come apart at the seams.
Baby, I wanna touch you.
I wanna breathe into your will.“How do you want me?” Yasha asked, standing at the front of the mats looking unsure of herself.
See, I gotta hunt you
I gotta bring you to my hell.“In so many ways,” Beau murmured beneath her breath. “You’re a smart girl...just catch me if I fall.”
