    Catra had thought feeling bored and sometimes hateful of her day job was a normal thing. After all, you had to work to live, and Bright Moon’s cost of living was as expensive as they came. So the idea that she had no particularly strong feelings about her place of employment didn’t ever strike her as odd.

    That was, until the new girl came along. Adora’s…fine. ‘Fine’ in the sense there’s nothing that immediately annoys Catra about her, and definitely not ‘fine’ in the sense she’s attractive as all hell—even if she did give Catra a whole new avenue of warming up from the winter air just by watching her walk in the first morning in those dress pants. The fact Adora already has a girlfriend is great too, since it means there’s no way Catra has any ulterior motive to talk to her other than they’re co-workers and she’s trying to be sociable for once.

    She can be friends with Adora from her spot behind reception. It’s totally safe to do so, right?
