Time’s running out. Ford has no idea what’s going on but Stan is missing and that’s all that matters. All he can do is follow the trail and pray he’s not too late.
Meanwhile, Stan’s demons have finally caught up to him. The only problem is he has no recollection of them at all.

Summary
Bill Cipher had seen Stanford's potential earlier on, when the two were only a day old. He decided to take over Stanley when he had the chance.
One day, Stanley only at the age of 7, had an accident and was put into a coma. Obviously this was a chance for Bill to slip in and replace Ford's brother.

Summary
Bill has no memory of what or who he is or of his plan to take over the world. He doesn't even know how that's possible. But he's still a knowledge demon, and Stanford summons Bill. So they make a deal: until Ford dies, Bill will give Ford the secrets of the universe in exchange for helping retrieve Bill's lost memories. Ford ends up falling in love. Bill doesn't know what this "love" is, but it's entertaining. Things become decidedly less Cloud 9 for Bill when Ford's twin brother Stan shows up, per their mother's request, to check up on Ford. You'd think no one had never seen bruises or broken arms before.

Summary
It has been almost a year since the Grunkles set out on their journey together to investigate the anomalies of the world. They have been able to repair their sibling relationship, having come to terms with some things, apologizing for others and forgiving each other, but Stan senses that there is something else. There is something they haven't spoken about, a question that has yet to be asked. What happened all those years in the multiverse? Ford's answer to this question, though, is not at all what Stan expected to hear. The sun is setting on the horizon, over the calm waters of the sea as Ford commences his story.

Fiddleford knew he'd found his soulmate in Stanford Pines way back in college, even if he never dared to admit it to anybody. So it was no surprise that he was willing to drop everything (a promising career, a comfortable marriage with a son on the way) to help him with his invention years later.
Even if he never said it, Fiddleford knew he and Stanford were the perfect team.
So why, oh why, did Stanford feel the need to invite his good-for-nothing brother Stanley to the project? And how could somebody as perfect as Stanford have a twin so... not?
