Summary
When the conflict between Skyblock and the Antarctic Empire had dragged on long enough without showing any sign of either nation being defeated, a truce was struck. Skyblock agreed to stop its assaults and negotiate a peace treaty, and in return, the empire would do the same. To show goodwill, Skyblock would even go so far as to hand over its most competent general as a prisoner of war. That way, the Antarctic Empire would know the lengths they were willing to go to for a proper resolution.
Such were the circumstances that led to Phil taking custody of Technoblade: skilled warrior, revered tactician, and current political hostage.

Summary
“What are you doing?” Wilbur’s tired voice cracks through the silence, behind him, and Techno realizes that his breathing had become loud.
He speaks before he thinks. Not like he can think. “The stains aren’t coming off!” He snaps.
“What stain— HOLY beep, what the beep are you doing!?” Wilbur jogs over, all hint of fatigue gone, as he looks between Techno’s bloodied hands and the bottle of bleach. “Techno! What are you- why!?”
“The blood on my hands! It won’t come off!”
“What blood!?” The brunette flicks on the light, both of them wincing for a moment. “Techno, there’s no blood on your hands! What are you talking about?”
Or: Techno used to work for a woman who would force him to kill and harm people for Her own entertainment. He wasn't the only one who worked for Her, but he was the only one who was dragged in as a kid and grew up, not knowing a life outside of it. Just over a month ago, he ran away with one of the other unfortunate men (Wilbur) and now his trauma is catching up with him.
